we bought a zoo

Tonight I saw "We Bought A Zoo" for the second time" I love it so much. I think that every photographer should see it. I might sound super cheesy, but this is my blog ha ha. :) The part where the dad is looking at the picture's of his wife and family on his laptop makes me so happy. It show's perfectly how photo's can make us feel. I could watch that part over and over!
When you look at my picture's I want you to feel something. Picture's should bring back memories. I want you to be able to know the people when looking at my pictures. After I took picture's at my friends wedding a friend sent an email back saying they felt like they knew the family. That is one of the greatest compliments I've ever received.
This picture is an example of what I'm talking about. This picture is from before my SLR days and feeling so sure that photography was what I wanted to do. Earlier that day I spent two hours walking around the Rexburg temple. There were about three weddings outside and I was watching the photographers. I was only 15. I couldn't quite imagine being the photographer for a wedding. Now when I think of being the photographer for a wedding I get so excited. I'm even enjoying the drawing class that I was so nervous about taking.

Go see "We Bought A Zoo" and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Being the RecSports photography manager is a whole new experience. I've been looking at Nikon's sports photography tipse and want amazing picture's like the one's on this page. Dave Black is very amazing. I can't wait to improve! It's so different. I want to capture the motion, but in a dark location it's difficult to get them light enough. Tomorrow I'm taking picture's of fencing and have ideas pictured in my head.

Have a good weekend!

I hope you didn't mind my babbling if you got to the end;)

i love my job!

Two posts in one day! That's never happened. I loved tonight. It's going to be really fun. Here is one photo from futsal.

it snowed!

There is finally snow! It's so pretty outside. I don't think that it's even that cold.

Tonight I start taking pictures for RecSports for BYU-Idaho! I'm so excited. Tonight I'll photograph raquet ball, floor hockey, bowling, and walleyball. It should be fun. :)
